KBRN, Makassar: The Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) from PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya, PT Jasa Armada Indonesia, Tbk (IDX: IPCM), and PT Pelindo Marine Service (from the Pelindo BUMN group) won several awards at The 4th TJSL & CSR Award 2024 in Jakarta on Wednesday night (30/7). The national award event, held annually by BUMN Track and Indonesia Shared Value Indonesia (ISVI), was attended by around 97 BUMN business entities in Indonesia.
Chairman of the TJSL & CSR Award 2024 Judging Committee, as well as Founder & Chairman of ISVI, Thendri Supriatno, stated that the 4th TJSL & CSR Award 2024 focuses on the contribution of BUMN’s TJSL in supporting the achievement of the SDGs. In addition to programs that must be in line with the four pillars of the SDGs, there are six assessment aspects related to policy, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, sustainability, and supporting documents.
“TJSL BUMN is expected to provide value to the company while also becoming a strategic management with measurable impact. As part of the company’s business approach, the TJSL Program is implemented with principles that are more integrated, directed, measurable in impact, and accountable,” explained Thendri.
The Director of Finance, HR, and Risk Management of Pelindo Marine, Lia Indi Agustiana, expressed her gratitude for the Gold Winner appreciation awarded to the Kampung Seng Tangguh Program during the award night. “Kampung Seng Tangguh is Pelindo Marine’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program that continuously empowers its fostered villages in the Tanjung Perak Port area of Surabaya, focusing on three priorities: environment, education, and the development of Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK),” she explained.
Lia Indi continued, stating that the role of sustainability principles is an inseparable variable in the implementation strategy of the TJSL Program. Especially in the priority areas of environment, education, and MSME development.
“The sustainability of the environment is important for creating a place for children to learn and supporting the incubation of the development of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Quality education is the best long-term investment for the local economy and the surrounding environment. Furthermore, the development of MSMEs, which are the primary source of livelihood for the majority in the informal sector, undoubtedly becomes the backbone of creating a sustainable environment and a conducive situation for children’s learning.” “Everything is interconnected for sustainable empowerment in line with the SDGs,” he explained.
On the same occasion, the Corporate Secretary of PT Jasa Armada Indonesia, Tbk., Eddy Haristiani, also expressed gratitude for the Gold Winner appreciation for the #TenunNyaman Foster Village Program implemented on Adonara Island, East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. “As part of the BUMN Pelindo Group, we also play a role in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Ministry of BUMN’s priority programs for Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), one of which is through Economic Development via Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) #TenunNyaman,” said Eddy Haristiani.
He also added that, as a public company, sustainability is very important in carrying out all operational business activities of the company, especially in the aspects of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) to continuously build investor trust.
