Jakarta, August 26, 2025. PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IDX: IPCM), as part of the Pelindo Group, remains committed to promoting sustainable shipping by actively participating in the “INSA Cares – Mangrove Planting” initiative organized by the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA) at the Angke Kapuk Mangrove Nature Park, North Jakarta.

This event, held in celebration of INSA’s 58th anniversary, was attended by IPCM President Director Shanti Puruhita and Director of Fleet and Operations Arief Hermawan. IPCM’s management presence at the event reflects the company’s tangible support for collaborative efforts to preserve coastal ecosystems and mitigate negative impacts on marine environments, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 14: Life Below Water.

In her opening remarks, INSA Chairperson Carmelita Hartoto expressed appreciation for the active participation of INSA members, including IPCM, in this initiative. “Mangrove planting is not just a symbol of concern—it is a concrete step and a real manifestation of INSA’s commitment to sustaining the national maritime industry, which heavily relies on the balance of coastal ecosystems,” she stated.

As part of the INSA Cares Mangrove Planting program, DPP INSA aims to plant 5,000 mangrove seedlings in stages. The initial phase involved the planting of hundreds of seedlings in the Angke Kapuk Mangrove Nature Park area.

IPCM President Director Shanti Puruhita also shared, “IPCM believes that sustainability is the cornerstone of operating within the maritime industry. Through the spirit of collaboration in the INSA Cares – Mangrove Planting initiative, IPCM is proud to contribute directly and be part of the port ecosystem in protecting coastal environments, which are vital to our company’s operations.”
“IPCM hopes this initiative will inspire all maritime industry stakeholders to continue working together in preserving the environment for a sustainable future of coastal ecosystems,” Shanti concluded.
