Bekasi, December 18, 2025. As part of the Pelindo Group, PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IDX: IPCM) together with PT Energi Pelabuhan Indonesia (EPI) remain committed to realizing a sustainable port ecosystem. This commitment is manifested through a strategic collaboration in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program by planting 2,000 mangrove trees along the coastal area of Pantai Bahagia, Bekasi Regency.

The planting of 2,000 Rhizophora mucronata mangrove trees is one of IPCM and EPI’s efforts to control coastal abrasion. This species is highly effective in mitigating abrasion due to its dense and sturdy root system, which functions as a natural wave barrier. The initiative also reflects the companies’ dedication to preserving coastal biodiversity, providing ecological, social, and economic benefits to surrounding communities.
The mangrove planting activity began with a symbolic handover of seedlings by IPCM, represented by Ridwan Budiman, DVP of Corporate Communication, GCG, and CSR, followed by EPI’s Corporate Secretary, Indriani Sari. The event continued with the planting of mangroves involving IPCM and EPI employees as part of their Employee Social Responsibility (ESR).
Ridwan Budiman, IPCM’s DVP of Corporate Communication, GCG, and CSR, stated “Maintaining the balance and sustainability of marine ecosystems is an essential part of supporting the company’s business activities. This mangrove planting collaboration reflects the positive synergy among Pelindo Group subsidiaries to create tangible impacts for the environment and coastal communities, while also supporting Net Zero Emission targets and sustainable port operations.”
Meanwhile, the Corporate Secretary of PT Energi Pelabuhan Indonesia, Indrianisari, stated that the implementation of this TJSL program is part of PT Energi Pelabuhan Indonesia’s commitment to supporting environmental conservation and sustainable development, particularly in the environmental pillar. “As a company engaged in the provision and management of energy in port areas, EPI views coastal environmental sustainability as an inseparable part of the continuity of maritime ecosystems and national port operations,” she said.

This collaborative TJSL program of planting 2,000 mangrove trees aligns with Pelindo Group’s sustainability principles, which emphasize balance between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. Environmental: Mangrove planting plays a vital role in reducing the impacts of climate change through carbon absorption and coastal ecosystem preservation. Social: The activity engages coastal communities through education and empowerment, encouraging their participation in environmental conservation while creating economic value. Governance: Collaboration among Pelindo Group subsidiaries demonstrates a strong commitment to generating measurable and sustainable positive impacts.
Furthermore, this initiative supports the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, SDG 15: Life on Land, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
